Janet E. Dwyer, (nee Carroll), age 75, of Woolwich Twp, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on April 8, 2014.
Beloved wife of 54 years of William A. Dwyer. Devoted mother of William J. (Robin) Dwyer of Hollidaysburg, PA, Kathleen M. (Klaus) Henkel of Sewell, NJ, Timothy J. (Libby) Dwyer of W. Chester, PA and Kevin M. (Mary) Dwyer of Lower Gwynedd, PA. Loving grandmother of Meghan (Joe), Jeffrey (Michelle), Jennifer, Patrick, Chelsea, Caroline, Carter, Olivia and Benjamin.
Janet loved to surround herself with family and friends, and was always ready for a party.
She was the ultimate “Mammom,” whose nine grandchildren were the light of her life, always looking forward to and planning for their next accomplishments, milestones or special occasions. Throughout their lives, she was a constant presence at every sporting event, school affair, performance, graduation and wedding.
Janet devoted herself to creating a warm and happy home for her treasured family. Especially during holidays, she loved nothing more than to bring her loved ones together around her dining room table. The consummate homemaker, Janet spent much of her time cooking (and cleaning!). Her home was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with attention to every detail.
She was a proud member of the Red Hats and the JULIET’s (Just Us Ladies Interested in Eating Together) luncheon gang, and a devoted member of “Club” from Bucks County. Janet also loved to shop, decorate, vacuum, travel and go out to dinner. Between June and September, if not socializing poolside in Swedesboro, you’d be sure to find her on the beach in Sea Isle. Year round, she was always up for a day trip to NYC for dinner at La Rivista followed by a Broadway show.
Our beloved wife, Mom and Mammom, Janet was, as a neighbor so aptly put it, a “firecracker” who made life a series of celebrations for all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing Fri. 7-9 PM and Sat. 9:30-10:30 AM at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit, 17 Earlington Ave., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062, where Janet’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Swedesboro.
